“The Autistic CEO”
As the co-founder and CEO of Spectrum Writing, I took a genuine passion, turned it into a business idea and scaled it exponentially. I led this business through a volatile time in the NDIS industry, built systems and structures, and found a niche market that was begging to be serviced.
Spectrum Writing went on to become shortlisted in awards such as the HESTA Excellence and Telstra Best of Business Awards, but most importantly we had excellent customer loyalty and retention rates. I then sold the business at the optimal time to the right buyer.
What makes my experience different from other motivational speakers and facilitators? I did all of this as:
- a neurodivergent/autistic person,
- leading a majority neurodivergent team,
- with all neurodivergent clients.
Corporations such as ALDI, Auticon, SAP and Microsoft are already ahead of the curve regarding autistic staff and customers. Learn how your business can also harness both!
I’ve perfected a method of leadership that can not only help your business to navigate the world of autism, but can also help you:
- improve your communication and productivity
- properly scaffold and support your neurodivergent staff
- weaponise their hyperfixations!
I’ve found truths to this approach that also benefit the neurotypical or “standard” mind, and audiences will learn:
- the power of plain speaking and systemic honesty
- trading charisma for clarity – becoming a quiet leader
- how anyone can best use a script to navigate hard moments at work
With real world examples from other autistic CEOs such as Elon Musk (Tesla and Paypal), Satoshi Tajiri (Pokemon) and Bram Cohen (Bit Torrent), this presentation will show you how to lead differently in a world that needs difference.

The Dungeons & Dragons Business Mindset
You’ve never had workplace training like this! Over the course of the session I’ll take your organisation/business unit and reframe your day-to-day operations as a Dungeons and Dragons game.
By implementing this therapeutic avatar approach, this session provides your team with an element of remove and a refreshed perspective. Through this lens, we’ll reframe common workplace problems, team communication, and pressing issues you’re currently facing. With gamified role-play, your team can unlock conflict resolution, improvisational and problem-solving skills they didn’t even know that they had.
In this session we will
- Transform your organizational chart or team roles into a typical D&D “party” – the group that will face a series of challenges.
- Build your day-to-day business operations into a fantasy journey for your team to navigate and interact with.
- Build recurring issues or problematic customers into a quest that must be solved.
- At the epilogue, we will retranslate the entire session into potential real-world outcomes.
As an award-winning author and experienced games master, your team is in excellent hands. Let the adventure (of work) commence!
Note: this session is suited to a maximum of 8 participants at a time.
What Story Are You Telling? – Using Fiction Tools for Business Success
Whether it’s a presentation to the board or a sales call, all of our communication comes back to storytelling.
Using all of my skills as an award-winning author and workshop facilitator, I’ll guide your team through the following questions, built around your day to day business needs, or issues that have arisen for your team:
- What’s happening?
- What is the real story here?
- What was the inciting incident/Call to Action? (1st Act)
- What is the ending we hope to tell? (3rd Act)
- How can we get there? (2nd Act)
- What is standing in the way (2nd Act Conflict)
Selecting from the following story-telling models, we will navigate our way to a successful story for your team:
- Aristotle’s Poetics
- The Three-Act Structure
- The Hero’s Journey
- The Seven Basic Plots
Everything is a story, and there’s no reason why your story can’t have a happy ending.
